This NFL season proves to be another exciting one. There have been numerous memorable moments on Monday Night Football over the years, including Brett Favre's amazing performance and tribute to his dad the day after his father died, Bo Jackson's record setting 221-yard rushing night, and the announcement of John Lennon's death. This year could provide another historic moment that you won't want to miss.
Another great aspect of MNF has been the songs. Hank William's Jr. singing "Are You Ready For Some Football" is the most famous music of the program. But recent ESPN commericials have made the title sequence very recognizable as well. It only consists of instrumental music and does not have lyrics, but ends with the infamous "duh-nu-nunt..duh-nu-nunt..."
It appear the announcers for this year's MNF will remain as it was last season. Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden will make the calls. They seem to have good chemistry, and all three of them are known for their knowledge of NFL football.
